At Connect, children and young adults with any types of special need use a variety of tools to improve their “Connect Social Skills Tool Box” including:
- Communicating a need
- Learning a task
- Making friends
- Developing healthy boundaries
- Asking for help
These skills are great for all children to learn and implement.
Connect Drama Club runs while schools are in summer recess.
St. Gerard House’s Connect program is a summer camp focused on building and polishing social skills for ages 6 to 19. Connect promotes wellness support for all children, regardless of diagnosis, whether the child has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum or other developmental needs. Connect also welcomes the child who is typically developing and could benefit from tips that can help them socialize with other kids.
