The Feed The Need Art Show celebrates the artistic talents of our participants and marks a joyful milestone for our program. The show will showcase the remarkable talents of our participants and celebrate the power of art.
Why the Art Show Started
The Feed The Need Art Show provides our participants with a platform to exhibit their artistic talents while learning essential life skills. Art is a powerful medium for personal expression and growth, and this event was designed to highlight their unique skills and creativity. SGH is eager to foster our participants’ development.
What to Expect
A variety of handmade creations, including:
- Paintings and Drawings: Unique artworks showcasing the diverse perspectives and skills of our participants.
- Cards and Bookmarks: Beautifully crafted items perfect for personal use or gifts.
- Jewelry and Keychains: Handmade accessories that reflect the creativity and craftsmanship of our artists.
Participants have been working diligently on both individual and group projects, and each piece is a testament to their dedication and creativity.
How It Benefits Our Participants & Community
- Empowerment and Skill Building: The Art Show offers our participants a chance to display their work and gain confidence in their abilities. Through their involvement, they learn valuable skills, including artistic techniques, project planning, and presentation.
- Financial Literacy: Participants will earn 100% of the profit from their artwork made with their own supplies. For pieces created with materials provided by Feed The Need, a small percentage of the sale will go back to the program. This experience helps participants understand the concept of earning money and managing transactions – crucial aspects of everyday life skills.
- Community Engagement: The Art Show serves as a wonderful opportunity for the community to engage with our participants, learn about their talents, and offer support. Your presence at the event strengthens community ties and raises awareness about the abilities and contributions of adults with Autism.
- Supporting Our Program: The event will also act as a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting Feed The Need’s ongoing programs. Your support helps us continue to offer valuable life skills training and creative opportunities for our participants.
